Admission to this program will be conducted by the Institute of Energy (IE) as Regular Program.

Program Credits

Regular 45-credit program, consisting of 35-credit for theoretical course work and 10-credit laboratory and research work.

Courses per Semester
  • 1st semester-> 5 Courses
  • 2nd semester-> 3 Courses + 1 lab
  • 3rd Semester-> 3 Courses + Thesis + Viva
Class Schedule

Class schedules will align with those of regular Dhaka University (DU) students.

Accommodation Facilities

Students of this program will not be eligible for university accommodation. However, academic activities will be conducted through the halls and the Institute.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Applicants must have an undergraduate (or equivalent) degree in any of the following:
    • Physics, Applied Physics, Electronics and Communication Engineering
    • Mathematics, Chemistry, Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Bio-Science
    • Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
    • Computer Science and Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Textile Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering
    • Renewable Energy Technology, Energy Technology, Earth, Soil and Environmental Science and Technology, Leather Engineering/Technology, Petroleum Engineering/Technology
    • Geology, Geography, IT, Energy Economics, Disaster Management and other related fields.
  • Must have obtained at least a second class/division or a GPA/CGPA of 2.50 in all academic examinations.
